TRUMP NETWORK – MLM
25 Mar 2009 NYC – Donald Trump, following his own teachings, bought the “junk yard dog” MLM company Ideal Health. Cheap I bet, per traffic data below. Ideal health, founded in 1997, promoted testing to sell custom made nutritionals for people. They have never been a boomer. Sam Caster of Mannatech (shame or fame?) started Metabolic Technologies back in 1992 in his sister’s name. Metabolic Technologies was a testing and custom nutritional MLM that crashed and burned along with 2-3 others down the MLM halls of time. Testing and custom nutritionals have never been a viable MLM niche by history.
Although network marketing is going to be the future of marketing, product is going to be more important than the sales pitch of a few marketing geniuses.
People are getting fed up with being lied to. They are becoming less inclined to try something in their bodies. Promises that The Trump Network makes on their sites are pure speculation. To say that people are going to buy $1 Trillion in supplements in a few years, can only be explained with a new inflation rate alone. To say that they will want 5x the product ($200B to $1T) is wrong.
I am always also amazed that so many people buy into ACN, when they can get a Skype phone or an OOMA phone, that essentially makes free teleconferencing with Skype or just phone calls with OOMA. I see interest in ACN vary with Trump mentions, and that is sad. People who use phone services of ACN are being so seriously ripped off. I cannot see how Skype’s $2.95 a month, or less than $70 a year with a new phone number, compares with six times the phone bill cost for equivalent number of calls made through ACN.

They will only get it right temporarily so that Donald makes a good return on investment. Then he will sell fast and run.

I was in Ideal Health and climbed to Diamond Director and was shocked as I watched them bankrupt families, create divorces and lead thousands over a cliff of financial devastation. Donald Trump has no idea what he has just purchased. If he knew all the people whjo have been financially “raped” by Ideal Health, he would run!!!
The Customized Vitamins do not create wealth because
you have too many barriers to get to the product.
YOU have to urinate in a cup, then syringe it into a testube and fed ex it into the lab where they will try to match your urine to one of the boxes of vitamins they have sitting in a warehouse. If you do not urinate in the cup then no vitamins are ever ordered and their is no comissions.
They had a skincare line that crashed and burned. They triedn grren products and the FTC shut down their supplier. They had a TV Show the distrbutors oculd buy and be in and they sold it to distributors for up to $75K per show and some people bought a whole show only to have the whole thing cancelled with no refunds and then offered CD;s instead. Those shows they did film and air only brought poor quality leads and dissappointment..

When I was involved, we were told to buy $35,000 in Starter Kits to get to Diamond and 10 years they were all still sitting in our attic. We still are paying on them as we had a huge debt accumulate as we watched our checks spiral down… I hear they are not doing that this time as Donald does not want that. Why did Donald have to tell them that? Because they do not have a clue on their own?
They do put on a good “dog and pony show” though so people with have the opportunity to make money on the start kits at first and then get cut off after 6 people deep?
Actually, ACN may benefit slightly as some people are turned off by Trump being a spokesperson/investor. Best wishes for all network marketers-there is more than enough to go around.
I appreciate your comment and your point of view. As far as the date that was a typo. I am familair with the company and first learned about Ideal Health in 98 while living in NYC. However, thanks for pointing that out.

Before you write your words of wisdom, you should get your facts straight. Ideal health was founded in 1997 not 2003! It has been a stable company that did not go out of business and the core of their associate base is medical professionals that know how important the philosophy of correct supplements is. So your conclusion that custom nutrition is not a viable MLM niche cannot be correct. You mistake poor management and questionable leadership (such as with Metabolic) with the need for the products. In this case Ideal Health now gets top management, marketing expertise and instant name recognition in one package. You had better get ready to eat your words!
